Background
This story outlined the early experiences of NASCAR Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson through archive footage, present-day interviews, and animated re-enactments for a live television broadcast. Animated sequences helped fill the gaps in for parts of the story where footage was unavailable.
Process
In close collaboration with our team’s Project manager and EP, I developed storyboards, illustrated character designs, developed an animatic, and animations based on a developing script. These components were shared with story producers as story drafts were edited for broadcast until the story’s final launch.
