Background

Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry stopped through San Mateo to encourage support for small businesses as they reopened after pandemic-related closures in a video done in partnership with Google. As a part of this story, our team was tasked with highlighting the search and discovery journey of these local gems.

The Solution

Our team supported Steph’s journey to champion local businesses by highlighting the search to find and engage with local businesses online. Animated search bars and badges helped provide a window into the search and discovery experience between community members, small local businesses, and what they bring to the community. This experience was captured, shared on YouTube through collaborative efforts, and accrued 7.1 M views.

Process

During the production process we storyboarded location and UI elements to compliment the organic interactions between Steph and the owners of Ah-Sam Florists, Antoine's Cookie Shop, and Bow Wow Meow.
